Balloons

Flip books and balloons For these tasks, we were asked to create flipbooks with sticky notes on filmed clips of balloons.  ‘Propellant Balloon’ Following the video I took, I decided to create my flip book with pencil and showing it fly around and get stuck on the wall. I found creating this easy and very fun to do, as the reference video really helped, especially as I could slow the footage down.  'Flicked Balloon' Following the video I took, I created this flip book following the video I took, using the same pencil as before and the same techniques used previously. This was another that I found to be easy and fun to create.  'Water Filled Balloon' Following the video I took, using the same pencil and techniques as previously used for the other flip books. This flip book I found harder to create, the details in the bouncing of the balloon and the timing were challenging to recreate. Zoetrope

Zoetrope For this task, we were asked to design a character of any description that we could draw a 360 degrees view of. I chose to create a very simple wolf character that I am comfortable drawing repeatedly, as to allow me to focus more on the positioning and secondary animation that I chose to add. I found this task relatively tricky, as I had to be very particular about every aspect of each drawing to ensure the animation worked. If I were to redo this task I would definitely choose a solid character that's easier to see in the Zoetrope, and I would also use guide lines to make sure the character doesn't move around the page and stays the same size.
