Final Animation

My Final Animation I'm really happy with how my animation has turned out, I would develop it further if given the time with colour and a proper background, however I am happy with how it's turned out.

Character Animation Development

Character Animation Development For my research into creating my animation, I looked into the anatomy and particular movements of cats and snakes. I did a lot of sketches and trial animations for both, particularly for the snake movements. I found the snake animations the hardest to replicate, however I feel after multiple try's with different techniques I found a pretty good way to replicate the snake. With more time and practise I would of loved to perfect my animation, but overall I'm happy with how it all turned out.

Walk Cycle

Walk Cycle I loved creating these walk cycles, finding the entire process fun to learn and pretty easy to do. I started with the human walking cycle, finding it easy to create with a reference. After creating the human cycle, I decided to move to a harder version with a cat. It was definitely harder, each leg doing different things, however I am happy with how its come along.

Photoshop

Photoshop For the first task we were asked to create a ball jumping across the screen, alike in other programs. For this task I followed the same route as I did in other programs, except adding a small blink freeze frame of colour. I found this task fun, much like  the others, although I would like to challenge myself more if I'm asked to do this task again. For our second task, we were asked to animate a puppet through warping it. I really didn't like this task, finding it difficult to do and overall not my thing to animate with. The puppet is incredibly flimsy and hard to manipulate. However, with some work I managed to get it to a satisfactory level. For the last task, we were asked to animate gifts being sucked into a tube. I found this task interesting to do, and quite fun also, as it was very different to anything I had done before and was much easier than anticipated. I would of liked to improve it more by adding more secondary animations to the mix, but I'm happy ...

Adobe Premiere

Adobe Premiere Unfortunately, most of my work my Adobe Premiere was lost and I can't recover it, however I did find my march/walk cycle. I found the task fun to create, especially with a new program, and I would like to really get to know the program in the future. The other tasks were also fun, and quite challenging however, with the lack of work able to show, I will have to create work in the future to make up.

Adobe Animate / Heavy Lift

Image
Adobe Animate For our first task we were asked to draw a ball bouncing from one side of the screen to the other, using onion skins and multiple frames. The second task was a follow up, with the ball bouncing across the screen and dealing with a wall however we saw fit. I found these tasks very easy but fun to do, as I have previous practise with Procreate animations. After this we were asked to create a character tasked with lifting a heavy object. I chose to create a simple form, a little mushroom, lifting a rock. This task was really fun to do, although I would definitely improve the motions and exaggeration in the future, to make the struggle more obvious.
